2. Data We Collect
When you submit your CV or employer requirement through our platform we collect:
- Identity data: full name, contact number
- Contact data: email address, location
- Professional data: CV/resume, experience, sector, skills, availability
- Technical data: IP address (used for security only, not profiling)
Employers registering an account: company name, contact name, email address, password (stored as a one-way hash).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To match candidates with relevant vacancies and represent you to employers
- To contact you about suitable opportunities or requirements
- To comply with legal obligations
- To maintain platform security (rate limiting, malware scanning)
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use it for automated profiling that produces legal effects.
4. Lawful Basis
We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide by ticking the consent checkbox at submission. You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Data Retention
Candidate profiles and CVs are retained for 730 days (24 months) from submission. After this period your data is automatically and permanently deleted. Employer account data is retained for the lifetime of the account.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Rectification: correct inaccurate data
- Erasure: request deletion of your data at any time
- Restriction: limit how we process your data
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection: object to processing

7. Security
All uploaded files are scanned for malware before being stored. Access to candidate data is restricted to authorised Valtora staff and protected by two-factor authentication. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
8. Cookies
We use a single session cookie for login state. It is essential and not used for tracking or advertising. No third-party cookies are set.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
